It’s reported that the three "Anti Terrorist Forces" of the Hong Kong Police Force now wear different uniforms to patrol in the urban area of Hong Kong or participate in anti-terrorism drills.
In order to meet the needs of operations and make it easier for citizens to recognize the distinctive characteristics of the "Anti Terrorist Forces", the police have newly designed a unified long sleeved uniform for the three forces, which is distinguished by dark blue, light blue and light gray. The new uniform of the airport special police force is dark blue, the anti terrorist special service team is light blue, and the railway emergency response force is light gray. And citizens can recognize it as the "Anti Terrorist Forces" at a glance.
According to Kong Yina, the chief inspector of the Hong Kong Airport special police unit, that the new uniforms are made by China mainland manufacturers and adopt three-dimensional tailoring to make the anti-terrorism special police more flexible when running and climbing. The most important consideration of the new uniform is to protect the safety of the team members. The materials can improve the comprehensive protection of the team members against different risks, such as fire or strong acid. It is believed that the new uniform can improve the anti-terrorism work efficiency.
